The EndoGoddess App

The app contains some similar concepts to other diabetes apps – you can record your glucose levels and insulin doses and keep track of your various types of insulin.  This application has the advantage of record medical appointments and set blood glucose testing reminders.
EndoGoddess is a social media for patients with diabetes.  This is created by Dr. Dryer an endocrinologist.  In this app people earn points as a reward of tracking their blood sugar four times a day. And the point are cash out for songs in itunes.

    I think that this app can be useful for diabetic patients, it will be enhance their adherence to their insulin dosing schedule. Also the rewards are an incentive to their compliance by buying the music for their ipods or iPads. This type of aplications should be applied to other chronical diseases.

    I think most of the younger generation with diabetes will love this application, but the problem is that the majority of diabetic patient are older and they don’t use Smartphone. It is a great technology but to the younger generation not to the old generation. But believe me it is better than nothing!!! Probably in the future almost every diabetic will use it.
